I never quite feel right blogging on myspace or facebook so I figured I'd give it a try on here.
As some of you know, I moved to Eugene, Oregon about 6 months ago. Life here as been so crazy amazing that I'm not quite sure I can even explain it all, but I'm going to try.
Since moving here I've lived in a hostel, a shitty, haunted, moldy apartment and now the nicest house a girl could ask for. The landlords are organic farmers who encourage us to use our garden and to use our back yard for composting. They let us have animals and haven't yet questioned the amount of stuff the "5 people" living there have. Truth is I live with 8 others, and come Saturday we'll be adding 3 more people and 4 cats. Sounds absolutely insane right? 12 people and 4 cats in a 4 and a half bedroom house....but it's actually the most wonderful thing ever! We all get along so great and manage to have a clean and functional household with roommate meetings, dinners and circus practices. We also help with Food Not Bombs every Friday, and put on a vegan dinner every saturday night for about 20+ people at our house. We're not behind on any bills yet and the cops haven't been called on us even once.
Also since moving to Eugene I've had this feeling come back to me that I can do anything I fucking want. Somewhere along the way I veered off this path, but I've found it again and I've learned to juggle, longboard, ride a fixie, spin poi, use herbal remedies, live for dirt fucking cheap, manage my time, take care of myself and others, appreciate everything and travel.
Speaking of which, come June I'll be hitching from Eugene to Michigan and New Orleans, Minnesota, and who knows where else. I'll be back in Eugene for the Country Fair in July and then I'm off again for Minnesota and Canada and then to Burning Man and the RNC. That brings us to early September at which point i'm heading back to eugene to catch a plane to Spain! Yep, I'm moving to Spain. Or at least, I'm traveling Europe for a good 8 months or so. Who knows what'll happen after that.
I've also met this wonderful boy out here who I'll be a bit sad about leaving, but I'm pretty sure our paths'll cross again. We went out to the coast last weekend and slept in the back of his truck over looking the ocean. Waking up, seeing the waves, smelling the salty water and feeling the sun beat down on your face while walking along the beach hand in hand with someone who's on the same frequency as you is pretty magical, and I'll definitely miss him.
All in all, I don't think I've ever felt so good in my life. I hope you're all feeling just as dandy.
